🎉🎣 HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE MAN, THE MYTH, THE REEL LEGEND — DAVE! 🎣🎉
Today, we’re celebrating the owner, entrepreneur and fearless leader who started Five Star Trading Post and built it into everything it is today!
Dave took an idea, put in years of hard work and created a business that supports local families, provides jobs and continues to grow—all while being the absolute best boss anyone could ask for. He didn’t just dream big… he got down to business! 😎
Dave is always willing to lend a hand, offer advice and help solve a problem. He keeps us moving forward, encourages us to grow and somehow manages to keep his sense of humour through all of it. Honestly, we don’t know how he does it—but we suspect he has a very good business plaice. 🐟
He’s the kind of boss who doesn’t just tell you what to do—he leads by example. You might even say he’s a natural-born leader… but we don’t want to inflate his ego. We save that for our mattresses. 😂
Owning a business isn’t always smooth sailing, but Dave has always been willing to tackle every challenge. He never flounders under pressure, he always rises to the bait and he knows exactly when it’s time to reel things in. There’s truly nobody batter suited for the job! 🎣
We tried to get Dave the perfect birthday gift, but what do you buy for the man who started it all? He already has a great business, an amazing staff and apparently enough fish to open a seafood counter. 😂
We considered throwing him a surprise party, but we were worried he might catch on.
We thought about getting him a new fishing rod, but that seemed like a reel stretch.
We almost bought him a cake shaped like a fish, but we were afraid it would taste a little crappie.
We even looked for a birthday card, but they were all too offishial.
So instead, we’re giving him something he truly deserves: a massive thank-you for everything he has done and continues to do!

Thank you for supporting your staff, trusting us and pushing us to become better.
Thank you for building a workplace where we can laugh, grow and be proud of what we do.
Most importantly, thank you for being a boss who genuinely cares. Five Star Trading Post wouldn’t exist without you—and it definitely wouldn’t be the same without your leadership, determination and collection of classic dad jokes!
We hope your birthday is fin-tastic, that nobody gives you any carp and that you get the oppor-tuna-ty to relax! May your day be filled with big catches, good laughs and absolutely no business emergencies. If anyone asks your age, just tell them it’s classified in-fish-mation. 🎂🐟
