Mike is a master upholsterer of more then 33 years and he can reupholster almost anything. He can redesign or build some piece for you. My slipcovers are custom fitted to each piece. The furniture has to be here in my workshop to do this. I fit each piece of fabric on the furniture as I create the pattern. They are not sloppy look

ing at all, unless you want that look. I can end the hem so the leg is showing, or I can take it down to the floor. If you want something different like a skirt added on, or change up the design we may be able to do this after consultation. I do make a zipper flap so you don't see the zipper. Everything will be serged so it wont fray. FABRICS: Before I begin a slipcover, I do a cutting plan to calculate how much fabric you will need, and the way I will be cutting it out. This is based on a plain, no pattern, or just all around patterned fabric. We can use any washable fabric even upholstery fabrics so long as they are washable! Don't get anything to thin as it will wear out faster. You need to pre-wash the fabric do not iron. The preferred fabric is a cotton or cotton blend or polyester, nothing with to much stretch. If you get a pattern fabric. an "all around pattern" on the fabric ( meaning the pattern is not a single pattern that would need to be in the center, its all over, upside down right side up) you don't need extra fabric. But if you find something that has to be centered you will need a lot more fabric so it can be matched. The price will be more as it is more work, same with stripes and plaids. I can not do a cutting plan for these fabrics and there is a lot of waste. You can use a fabric that is not washable and choose to clean it whatever way you want. dry clean, hand wash etc. But it may not stand up to cleaning and may shrink.
