Dining chair transformation — before, during, and after! ✨

I recently recovered this set of dining chairs using JF Fabrics “Posh” velvet, giving them a fresh, modern look with a soft, high-end finish. During the tear-down, I also found that the back supports/webbing needed repair, so I rebuilt the support system before upholstering—because comfort and durability matter just as much as the final look.
If your dining chairs are sagging, feeling loose, or showing wear, they often don’t need to be replaced. A proper recover + structural repair can bring them back to life and extend their lifespan for years.

This beauty came into my studio *tired* and torn (the seat was down to the stuffing 😬). After some serious love and craftsmanship, she’s back in action—comfortable, sturdy, and ready for another few decades of use.

✅ Stripped the failing upholstery
✅ Rebuilt the seat for comfort + support
✅ Upholstered in a rich green, vintage-inspired pattern
✅ Finished with classic details to suit the chair’s era
✅ Kept the gorgeous wood frame as the star of the show

Vintage rocking chair glow-up ✨
This sweet little rocker came into my Calgary studio wearing its original gold upholstery (and a very well-loved seat). After a full refresh, it’s ready for a brand new chapter — bold, cozy, and built to be enjoyed again.
What I did:
• Stripped the old fabric + layers
• Rebuilt/smoothed the seat for comfort + crisp lines
• Upholstered in a textured, warm orange for a fresh mid-century vibe
• Refreshed the wood frame for a richer finish
• Finished with new buttons for that classic touch
