Shaker cabinet doors have been one of the most popular choices for decades. But lately, I have noticed a shift: fewer homeowners are choosing the traditional Shaker profile.

Does that mean Shaker doors are going out of style? Not exactly.

Shaker is a classic look that can work beautifully in both traditional and modern homes. But many homeowners are moving away from it for a practical reason: those inside corners can collect dust and dirt.

A bevel profile gives a similarly clean, simple look without the corners that trap dirt.

It is a good reminder that cabinetry is not just about how it looks. It also needs to suit the way you live.

Casa Flores was built by two people who came to Canada from somewhere else and made a life here.

This country has given us the opportunity to work, create, raise a family, build a business, and contribute to our community, and for that we are grateful.

Every business has someone who takes a chance on them. For us, it was Norm and Shelley.

This was the very first kitchen we ever sold back in 2007. We were a brand new company with no
long list of projects to show and no reputation built over decades. They trusted us anyway, and
twenty years later we still remember that!

Over the years, so many people have invited us into their homes and placed the same trust in us.
We never take that for granted.

In 2006, Casa Flores started as a small family-run business built on thoughtful design, quality products, and personal service.

Over the years, we’ve grown, adapted, and learned a great deal. But some things haven’t changed. We’re still a local company. We’re still involved in every project. And we still believe that our reputation matters.

As part of our 20th anniversary celebrations, we’ve spent the last several months rebuilding our website from the ground up to better reflect who we are today.

Twenty years ago, this was Casa Flores. Our first location, our first truck, and our first trailer.

No fancy showroom. No expensive equipment. No staff. Just the two of us, working long hours while raising two small children.

At the time, we weren't thinking about where the company would be twenty years later. We were focused on finding the next customer, doing good work, and paying the bills.

Over the years, we've grown. We've added technology, equipment, and talented people to our team.

But some things haven't changed. We're still a local company. We're still involved in every project. And we still believe our reputation matters.

Looking back at this photo reminds us how far we've come - and how grateful we are to everyone who trusted us along the way.
