My name is Carmen.

I love to search out or receive pieces of furniture with potential, and turn them into statement pieces in your home. I see the beauty in the old and overlooked things, and so will paint, refinish, reupholster ( minimal ), and remake them into unique and functional pieces so, that you can find the beauty in them as well. It took me awhile to figure this out, but I finally named this business Door

44 as it describes the place where all the magic of transformation happens for every piece that makes it's way to my door. Each piece of furniture is unique so the outcome is also unique in that it can have a shabby feel, a modern touch or some essence of vintage. These are one of a kind pieces and is certainly an honor to have them loved and cherished in your home!
