This shelving unit started as the top of an old China cabinet with glass doors, shelves, and a mirror. After removing the glass and hardware, I was ready to give it a whole new look with a beautiful olive paint. But then, disaster struck—I broke one of the glass doors, and replacing it would've cost me hundreds! 💸
Instead of scrapping the project, I embraced the challenge and turned it into an open-shelf design. I replaced the mirror with a faux wood wallpaper and added custom moulding and new legs to give it a completely fresh, modern vibe. Sometimes, the best designs come from unexpected setbacks!
Watch to the end to see the full transformation—and let me know what you think of this new look! 💬
Follow for part 2 to see how I refinish the bottom piece!✨
