Available! *swipe for before* This late 1800s/early 1900s solid ash wood wash stand was such a fun piece to work on! When I was given this piece by a good client, I immediately knew I wanted to add cane in the doors. Cane was very hard to acquire at the time though, so she sat in a corner for over a year. A few weeks ago, I finally found some cane for a decent price! I had always imagined this washstand in Midnight Blue, but for a moment I almost pivoted to Blue Pine. I’m so happy I stuck with this colour though, I am loving the contrast against the cane doors and bleached ash wood top! What do you think, did I choose the right colour?!

Products Used

in Midnight Blue
water based poly in matte + clear wax

Available ☺️ Swipe for Before!

I’ve had this 1920s Adam’s Furniture Co dresser in my stash for well over a year now, waiting for inspiration to hit. When I got it, the veneer was bubbling and painted brown. I picked away at the veneer hoping to find something nice underneath, but the substrate was formed of thin layers of plywood. So I wound up with nothing but a giant hole in the end 😅 I still stripped the top to see if I could hide the hole in an artistic manner…. But the veneer was in terrible shape, with burn marks all over. So I finally caved and painted it! I don’t normally do the whole white distressed look… but my mum had purchased all this lovely hardware from Hobby Lobby for me for Christmas last year. I had been dying to use these pulls, and I just kept seeing them on this dresser. So after a summer hiatus, I decided to make it happen! She turned out like exactly what I had imagined in my head ❤️

Sneak peak! Stay tuned for the final reveal tomorrow 😍😍

I know I’ve left you all hanging there for a few months! Boy did life get hectic 😮‍💨 firstly, I went back to work full time as a flight attendant! I’m still getting used to balancing my schedule and being tired all of the time 😅 My body also did some protesting about the matter. I dealt with terrible daily sciatic and low back pain for 6 weeks, and didn’t want to push myself with furniture. Especially because I needed to save my strength for work! Then 3 weeks after going back, I got COVID for the first time 😒 But I’m getting better at juggling both my schedule and my back issues, and and so happy to finally have something to show you! Here’s a little taste 😋

This lovely Kroehler armoire was pretty dated, but nothing a coat of paint couldn’t fix ☺️ And she was one of those refreshing pieces that co operated on every step of the way 😃 This piece was a commission, and I love the colour my client chose 😍 what do you think?!

It was so much fun to dive deep into my creative side for this commission. When I first started flipping, was (and still is!) very influential to me. I just love all that gold 😍 So when my client asked me for gold, I was more than happy to comply. And I’m so in love with how this piece turned out💕 My client had a very clear vision for how she wanted this special dresser to be, and it turned out spectacular. Thank you again for your support!

Sneak peek! Stay tuned, this MCM Kroehler desk drops tomorrow ☺️ I couldn’t keep it natural as the top is laminate. I know all of my polls told me to go black, but my heart really just wanted to go pink and give it a little nod to the atomic age. I hope you’ll enjoy!!
