Samuel not only reserved his spot inside but he has his spot reserved outside in his custom built catio. With 6 cats, reservations are recommended although their catio is big enough for all to share 😆

A tour of cat patios returned to the Halifax area on Sunday after a two-year absence caused by the pandemic. The tour gave cat owners the chance to enjoy refreshments and socialize at so-called catios installed at private residences in Fall River, Bedford and Cole Harbour.

This beautiful kitty is so happy her humans called What's a Catio? to build her a custom built outdoor cat enclosure or "catio"! Her humans have easy access through a door and her human sister is so happy to have a bench to sit on with her favourite kitty. ❤ Kitty thinks the best part of her new catio is all the areas she has to scratch on, since this is her absolute favourite thing to do! (And her humans love this too since it's not their furniture).

This catio was made with reclaimed wood and barn board, using new hardware and wiring for safety from predators. (Pressure treated wood also available)

Being an indoor cat doesn't mean your cat will never go outside...just make sure it's outside in safety. Whether out on a leash or in a catio where they can come and go as they please, indoor cats can have everything they need...safety, fresh air, eating grass and bird watching!

We have 5 cats and live surrounded by fields and woods. Our cats want outdoors, we want our cats safe. This is what we built for them.

The catio is almost complete. Just finishing the inside steps to the outside access then the cats can come and go as they damn well please 🤣

The cats are finally exploring their new catio! They spent over an hour in there before I made them come in when it got dark. And I got to sit in there and enjoy it with them!
