Swipe to the end to see how I moved it.

I made 5 panels in the shop and brought them to the jobsite. Once they were in place I trimmed them out to finish it, and stiffen it all up.

Really pleased with how it looks and functions, and will keep those pesky raccoons out now.

This was huge. Ash plywood and ash solid on this for a . The waterfall countertops are going on soon, and they’ll finish this off nicely.

One side is a work side with 6 drawers, all tiered for the next biggest size. I went through a lot work to get grain matching rails and stiles on the drawer fronts so it looks as continuous as possible. Even the insert panels run the same from one piece.

Drawers are all lock-rabbeted from BB, and sturdy AF (as the kids say).

The bar side has a 13” # inset to accommodate comfortable sitting without being too far away from the top.

I really like how this turned out and am happy with the work done. Huge learning experience and I got to try a few new things.

Lots of questions last week during this build - so I’ve been able to put together a list of prices for the most popular versions of these boxes.

Built to last with pressure treated materials, exterior hardware, ends are sealed. The toppers have a stopper so the hinges don’t get destroyed. There is a locking clasp pin to secure the lid from trash pandas.

Swipe for the list.

Progress on this deck. Never before have I built railings away from a site. The idea is to match the style of the house and make look older. I think it was a success. Next up is the staircase.

Garden Enclosure done ✅
12x20x8. It’s a big structure and I’m very proud of my work on this project.
Wrapped in 14g 1” hardware cloth to keep the deer at bay.

The heavily sloped landscape was tricky for a few reasons. There was nothing but rock underneath so digging to level wasn’t an option. This is why the U shaped back box is raised from the front boxes. But. I like the separation. It works.

I added in a top rail to sure up all the framing segments and followed that was slats across the top to not only act as a guide for keeping plumb walls but also as a place to hang trellis from.

I love the door. There’s something satisfying about it’s simplicity.

I loved building this through and through.

Thank you B for trusting me.

Hearty. Bold. Elephant Grade.

Coffee table is all done! Turns out the wood is over 200 years old!

I really wanted to preserve the rough look, while making it smooth and flat to the touch. The nail holes, the staining from the rust and the old hand -hewn beams. Keep the original look around the outside was important, and squaring up this lumber on the inside was the tricky part.

It’s always the simplest looking ones that require more attention to detail.

I decided to build the tops with thin strips between wider planks to give it a little more visual interest and break it up a little bit, while also keeping the natural look. What I liked about this, was that I was able to find very thin sections of wood that were riddled with nail holes and it just made the story that much better.
