As we celebrate Small Business Week, we're excited to announce the return of Baby, Please Come Home, an annual Alexandria tradition that celebrates the season while shining a spotlight on our local businesses. Now in its 6th year, this festive evening invites residents and visitors from across North Glengarry and neighbouring communities to discover Alexandria's shops, restaurants and businesses, enjoy holiday entertainment and share in the spirit of the season!

📅 Thursday, November 26 | 4 p.m. – 9 p.m.

NEW THIS YEAR – MUSIC IN MILL SQUARE!
For the first time, an outdoor stage will bring even more holiday cheer to Mill Square, featuring live musical performances, caroling and Christmas karaoke! Whether you love to sing or simply enjoy the music, come join in the fun!

🎶 CALLING ALL SINGERS, CAROLERS & CHOIRS!
We'd love to showcase local talent on our Mill Square stage! Solo singers, small groups and choirs interested in performing a few holiday favourites are invited to get in touch. Interested in performing? Email: [email protected] for details.

📣 CALLING ALL ALEXANDRIA BUSINESSES!
Whether you're located on Main Street or elsewhere in Alexandria, we'd love for you to be part of this holiday tradition! 🍂 A little autumn beauty to brighten your day! 🍂

There’s just something about these warm fall colours! Rich burgundy, golden yellow and soft peach, all coming together in one arrangement. 🌻

One of the things I love most about working with flowers is playing with colours and textures. No two arrangements are ever quite the same, and that’s part of the fun! ❤️

Il y a quelque chose de tellement beau dans ces couleurs d’automne! Du bourgogne, du jaune doré et du pêche tout doux, réunis dans un même arrangement. 🌻

Ce que j’aime particulièrement dans mon travail, c’est de jouer avec les couleurs et les textures. Chaque arrangement est unique, et c’est ce qui rend mon travail si agréable! ❤️

As a small business owner, I know just how important it is to support local businesses. ❤️

I’ve been working with L&L Deliveries since I opened my shop over five years ago, and I honestly can’t say enough good things about them!

Not once have I had a complaint. They’re reliable, friendly, always deliver with a smile, and make sure my customers receive their flowers in a timely manner. That’s the kind of service you get from people who genuinely care about their community.

With DoorDash coming to Alexandria, I can’t help but feel a little protective of our local businesses. We have wonderful people right here in our community who work hard and deserve our support.

I’ll continue to proudly support L&L Deliveries, and I encourage others to do the same. ❤️

Let’s not forget the importance of shopping local and supporting the people who support our community.

📸 Look who I caught up with this morning!

I went to pick up the Connor Mockett, Storm Chaser & Photographer calendars, and of course we had to get a quick selfie. 😊

For everyone who ordered one through me — the calendars are here and ready for pickup at the shop!

They are $30 each, which is exactly what I paid for them. Payment can be made by cash or e-transfer.

Just a little note — I only ordered the calendars that were spoken for, so unfortunately I don’t have any extras available.

A little update on my hours for October… ❤️

Starting this Wednesday, I’ll be adding an extra day back into my week while continuing with reduced hours.

🌿 Wednesday: 10–4
🌿 Thursday: 10–4
🌿 Friday: 10–4
🌿 Saturday: 10–1

I’m happy to be back, but I also know I need to continue taking things at a gentler pace and not rush back into doing too much too quickly.

So for the month of October, these will be my shop hours, and I’ll take it from there. One step at a time. ❤️

Thank you again for all the kindness, patience and support you’ve shown me. It really has meant so much.

They’re back! 🙌

We were out for a while, so I’m very happy to have these little guys back on the shelf.

A little update from me… ❤️

I’ll be back in the shop this Thursday, easing back in with reduced hours for now.

🌿 Thursday: 10–4
🌿 Friday: 10–4
🌿 Saturday: 10–1

I’m taking things one week at a time and seeing how it goes. I’m looking forward to being back, seeing some familiar faces and getting back into things — just at a gentler pace.

There won’t be fresh flowers in the cooler quite yet, but the rest of the shop will be open and ready for you to browse.

Thank you again for all the kind messages, patience and understanding. It has meant more than you know. ❤️

A little update from me. ❤️

I’ve realized that I need to take a little more time away from the shop to rest, recharge and take care of myself.

The shop will be closed this week, and I’m going to take things one week at a time rather than set a reopening date before I’m ready.

When I do return, I may be coming back with reduced hours for a while. I’ll keep you posted here as I figure out what works best.

Running a small business means so much to me, but sometimes you have to listen when your body and mind are telling you it’s time to slow down.

Thank you so much for your patience, understanding and continued support. It truly means a lot. ❤️
