A cold cloth and being present is sometimes all that is needed. Being a doula for 9 years now, I know when it might be helpful for me to step in, and when it is a good time for me to just be present. Quietly, patiently, observing and knowing what is happening and needed in the moment.

If you’re considering doula support, I encourage you to reach out early. My summer and fall are fully booked, and I’m now booking into November with 3–5 births each month.
I am honoured by the trust families place in me during such an important season in their lives, and I’m incredibly grateful to support each client on their unique journey.
From the moment you see that positive test, it can feel like forever until our first prenatal visit around 32 weeks — but please know I’m here for you the entire time, as much or as little as you need. You set the pace for communication and support in those early months.

Until we begin meeting more regularly at 32 weeks, focus on caring for yourself: nourish your body, stay active, rest when you can, and enjoy this season. I’ll be here when you need me, and I can’t wait to walk alongside you through this journey. ❤️. Reach out today

Mexico 2026 has already been filled with many adventures, new experiences, long days, and busy ones. days spent learning our way around Manzanillo, we’ve also been getting our new condo ready both for rentals and for us to enjoy for many years to come. Feeling very blessed — and a little exhausted — as we take it all in. Hoping to squeeze in a few more restful days before heading home. And so thankful for our dear friend Ginni for coming along with us as many don’t know, my husband has been laying on my living room floor in pain since Feb. It’s been a lot to say the least but prayers are always welcomed and healing will come some day. But today we enjoy the dreams we made well over a year and a half ago 🥰❤️

This is undisturbed birth.
Going into labor at nearly 42 weeks, on my own.
In my home while my other children were fast asleep.
My husband by my side.
Our midwife, nearly invisible unless I wanted her.
Access to food and hydration, as I pleased.
No one coaching me.
No bright lights.
My baby and I danced. A dance only him, God and I knew.
And when my baby said it was time, into his dad’s hands he was born.
Surrounded by siblings.
Birthed into love.
This is undisturbed birth.

🌿

My beautiful friends - you know I can’t hardly talk without opening up more conversations, too. Multiple things can exist at the same time. This one being: Undisturbed birth can be desirable and it’s not always reality. Sometimes, despite our dreams and intentions, babies tell us how they need to be born. I am passionate that hospitals beget more interventions in an otherwise healthy birth, but I’m not naive that nature isn’t always perfect. So here’s my little shoutout that, as mothers, we are rockstars. I’m holding space in my heart for the mama’s who had their births robbed from them and for the ones who wanted their birth to go one way but their baby said another thing. Motherhood is wild in that way, isn’t it? 🥰

Taking a break from social media posting. I’m Still working my t***y off with prenatals, being on call for weeks, births and postpartum support with my families and future ones. But with a lot of personal things going on behind the scenes, I don’t have the brain space for this. Much love for now. ✌️

I know this Ontario midwives, but it’s a good one.

They’re in good company: for more than 20 years, midwives have attended over 49 000 home births in the province and currently attend about 4 000 home births a year.
