I had the opportunity to create a custom mobile display platform for this 50s era police motorcycle.

Pretty unique challenge to have the support for the weight combined with mobility. I handled that by creating a torsion box-style platform to disperse the weight, 300lb rated casters are strategically spread beneath and lockable behind the decorative "doors".

Thank you to the museum for your trust in me for this project.

Finally finished.

This inspired tool chest was a long time coming as it sat half done in my basement for years.

Various types of joinery, some marquetry, mortised lock hardware, and classic joinery.

Walnut burl, maple, and flat cut walnut construction. Finished with a wax/oil mixture of my own concoction.

This will house all of my most used and favorite hand tools going forward.

I'm picking up an old unfinished project.
This tool chest was inspired by a one from FWW magazine.
I believe the lumber is a variation of Walnut species that I can not recall.
Smells like mothballs when you cut it, though.
Locks are now all mortised and cut for keys.

The base of my bench is complete.
I need to complete all work on the benchtop, but I feel a sense of accomplishment at this step all the same.

Everything is Ash aside from the blue paneling on the sides and back, which is poplar. I used polymerized Tung oil to finish the k***s and base structure.
