Strong partnerships with our growers form the basis of everything we do at Greenyard. In our Behind the Greens series, we share their stories.

This time, we shine the spotlight on the Vanvinckenroye family from Farm-made in Belgium.

For the Vanvinckenroye family, growing vegetables is more than just a business; it's a way of life. When David took over the family farm in 2008, he and his wife Liesbeth built on generations of expertise while developing their own vision with Farm-made, a concept that combines high-quality production with transparency, sustainability, and family values.

Together with their team and with increasing support from their sons, Daan and Dries, they grow crops such as peas, beans and sorrel for Greenyard Prepared. Their partnership with Greenyard dates back to 2001 and has grown into a strong, long-term collaboration based on trust and consistency.

Sustainability is central to their approach. From investing in solar panels with battery storage to ensuring responsible operations on and around the farm, they continuously balance ecology with economic reality.

As David explains: 'By knowing exactly what we can rely on, we achieve a top-quality partnership with minimal effort on both sides.'

Through their dedication, craftsmanship, and family-oriented mindset, the Vanvinckenroye family embodies our values at Greenyard perfectly, building a transparent and resilient value chain from field to plate.

What if logistics could be smarter and safer? 🚛🌱

At Greenyard Prepared Bree, we are doing exactly that.

We have introduced five Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) to strengthen our internal logistics. This helps us reduce manual handling, improve safety and ergonomics on the workfloor and boost efficiency across the site.

Given the long transport distances and intensive forklift traffic, there was clearly an opportunity for optimisation. By automating these processes, Greenyard Prepared Bree has created a more structured, predictable and safer environment for its teams.

Five new AGVs, alongside an existing unit, now handle around 100 000 pallet movements per year. Operating 24/7, they facilitate smoother logistics, reduce damage, and lower operational costs.

However, technology only works when people are on board. That's why safety and training have been central from day one, ensuring that every colleague understands how to work with these systems with confidence and security.

After all, building the future of pure-plant food means building smarter, safer operations.

A major milestone for Greenyard Logistics Poland! ❄️🌱

We celebrated an important next step in the construction of our new cold storage warehouse in Gliwice, Poland, with the symbolic raising of the first pillar.

Designed specifically for food logistics requiring precise temperature and humidity control, the new facility will enhance our capacity to store, freeze, package and distribute products under optimal conditions. The site will feature advanced freezing technologies and dedicated process separation to ensure the highest standards of food safety and quality.

Once operational, the Gliwice facility will become our fourth strategic location in Poland, joining Gdańsk, Poznań and Warsaw, and helping us to serve customers more efficiently across Poland and beyond.

Thank you to everyone involved in bringing this project to life. Together, we are building a more resilient, future-ready food chain.

Cooking and sharing together 💚👨‍🍳

Greenyard Frozen supported Kantel Welzijnsschakel's 'Kooknamiddag' in Bruges, Belgium, by providing a selection of pure-plant products and plenty of enthusiasm in the kitchen.

Alongside Club Brugge K.V. footballer Brandon Mechele Official, volunteers prepared a colourful menu featuring soups, vegetable mixes, PlanTasty bites and rondini's, finished with a refreshing assortment of Gigi gelatos. Everyone rolled up their sleeves to help out, from cutting vegetables and herbs to baking croquettes and preparing the buffet, and it was a warm and enjoyable afternoon.

Moments like these show how food brings people together. Healthy, delicious fruit and vegetables are not just about nutrition, they're also about connection, sharing and enjoyment.

Thank you sincerely to all the volunteers and everyone involved for the great atmosphere and teamwork.

We are pleased to announce that our Group Sustainability Director, Frédéric Rosseneu, has been elected President of Freshfel Europe, the leading European association representing the fresh fruit and vegetable sector.

This important role comes at a crucial moment for our industry. Fruit and vegetables are at the heart of healthier and more sustainable food systems, and it is more important than ever that our sector speaks with one clear voice to encourage consumption and highlight the positive impact of pure-plant food.

A key priority during Frédéric’s mandate will be the implementation of Freshfel Europe’s Manifesto 2030, an ambitious roadmap aimed at mobilising partnerships, resources and policy support to significantly increase fruit and vegetable consumption across Europe.

At Greenyard, we strongly believe in contributing actively to industry collaboration and sharing knowledge on how pure-plant food can help shape the future of food.

Congratulations, Frédéric. Together, we will continue driving positive change through the power of fruit and vegetables.

Our colleagues at Fresh Solutions organised another successful tulip campaign in support of a meaningful cause.

With 350 bouquets sold and a garage transformed into a pop-up tulip shop, the initiative quickly gained attention and support. Thanks to this collective effort, over €1 400 was raised in total.

The full amount will go to the Mama Lumu foundation, which supports a local project in Uganda focused on women and children. The funds will finance a two-day medical camp, providing free healthcare for those who would otherwise be unable to afford it.

This is a great example of how small actions driven by engagement and teamwork can create a real impact far beyond our daily work towards a healthier future for all.
