EXUVIA SERIES - SHELF

It’s interesting when a material starts making decisions of its own.

For the Exuvia Series, I use solid metal as a temporary mould. A rough sketch that guides the molten aluminium. During casting, heat and gravity transform that sketch into something more organic and unexpected.

This shelf is one of the latest results of that process.

Not quite sculpted.
Not quite cast.
Somewhere in between.
