🛋️This sofa, designed by the Danish architect and designer Arne Jacobsen, was inspired by the armchair of the same name. The arms of the sofa are reminiscent of the outstretched wings of the most noble of birds, the Swan, hence the poetic name. These models were originally designed for the Royal Hotel in Copenhagen in 1958 before being reissued by Fritz Hansen.

🖼️On 11 May, European art will be in the spotlight in Paris. Through a century of creation, the "European Art, Heritage and Innovation: 1850 - 1950" auction pays tribute to artists such as Charles Camoin, Henri Lebasque, Oscar Dominguez, Léonard Tsuguharu Foujita...

You will find this amazing portrait by María Blanchard, a Belgian artist.
Blanchard painted for the first time the composition « Le Déjeuner » in 1919-1920. The style of this work is purely cubist but draws attention to the female figure as the protagonist of the composition. In 1921, the artist decided to reinterpret this composition, in which she painted an inexpressive figure of introspective gaze. In this work, which is more accomplished than the first version, the geometric structure and rigour of the forms of Cubism are hidden, but the volumetric composition and the play of light are closer to the naturalist and impressionist style of Cézanne.

In Jane Graverol's work, feminine representation occupies an important place, both militant and sensual, as in this work, "Chute de Babylone", where we can make out the outline of a female silhouette, sculpted in a block. The presence of the rose, whose cut reveals the reproductive apparatus of the flower, charges the work with a strong erotic dimension.

✨We are proud to host the collection of the French legend Alain Delon during two days in our Brussels office on the 19th and 20th of April.

For more than 60 years, Alain Delon has been a discerning and passionate art collector. He recalls the moment he was bitten by the collecting bug. "There are two things I regard as my legacy; my acting career and my art collection. I am so proud of them both. I bought my first drawing in London when I was 24 and I've acquired works ever since. People ask me if there is a thread that binds these pieces together and I say "C'est moi!""

One of the highlights of this collection is this work by Raoul Dufy, « La baie de Sainte-Adresse ».
Sainte-Adresse became the main seaside resort of Le Havre at the turn of the 1860s. It attracted tourists and artists alike, among them Boudin, Jongkind and Monet who made Sainte-Adresse a destination for painting.
