এবার শিক্ষার্থীদের জন্য বিশ্বের অন্যতম বড় আর্কিটেকচার বা স্থাপত্যকলা প্রতিযোগিতায় বাজিমাত করলো বাংলাদেশ!

শিক্ষার্থীদের জন্য আয়োজিত বিশ্বের অন্যতম বৃহ আর্কিটেকচার প্রতিযোগিতা 'Inspireli Awards' এর নবম আসরে বাংলাদেশের মিলিটারি ইনস্টিটিউট অব সায়েন্স এন্ড টেকনোলজি (MIST) এর স্থাপত্য বিভাগের শিক্ষার্থী সারাফ নাওয়ার বিজয়ী হয়েছে। এই বছর পৃথিবীর ৮৭টি দেশ হতে ১১৭৪টি প্রজেক্ট জমা পড়েছিল। সারাফ তার "টেইল অব অ্যান ওশেন: ওশেনারিয়াম কমপ্লেক্স অ্যাট সোনাদিয়া" শীর্ষক আন্ডারগ্র্যাড থিসিস প্রজেক্টের জন্য পুরষ্কারটি অর্জন করেন আর্কিটেকচার ক্যাটেগরিতে।

সারাফের প্রজেক্টটি মূলত বঙ্গোপসাগরের তীরবর্তী সোনাদিয়া দ্বীপে ওশেনারিয়াম নির্মাণ সংক্রান্ত। এই ওশেনারিয়ামটি স্থানীয় বিপন্ন প্রজাতির উদ্ধার ও পুনর্বাসন কেন্দ্র হিসেবে কাজ করবে। এছাড়া, গবেষণা কেন্দ্রটি সামুদ্রিক ও ম্যানগ্রোভ ইকোসিস্টেম রক্ষা করার জন্য কাজ করবে। তার প্রস্তাবকৃত ওশেনারিয়াম কমপ্লেক্সের মূল লক্ষ্য হল সামুদ্রিক প্রাণী উদ্ধার করার পাশাপাশি প্রচলিত অ্যাকোয়ারিয়ামের পরিবর্তে একটি আউটডোর প্রাকৃতিক প্রদর্শনী হিসেবে কাজ করা। সে তার প্রজেক্টে শক্তি সাশ্রয়ী, টেকসই এবং লাইট ওয়েট নির্মাণ পদ্ধতির কথা বলেন যা সোনাদিয়ার মাটির অবস্থা, লবণাক্ততা, নিয়মিত জলোচ্ছ্বাস, মৌসুমী ঘূর্ণিঝড় সহ সার্বিক জলবায়ুর জন্য উপযুক্ত হবে। তার প্রকল্প সম্পর্কে আর্কিটেকচার ক্যাটেগরির চেয়ারম্যান, জুরি সদস্য মার্টিন ডুডাসকোর বক্তব্য ছিল “বিজয়ী প্রস্তাবটি এত ভালভাবে চিন্তিত এবং পরিকল্পিত যে এই অনন্য স্থানের জন্য এর চেয়ে উপযুক্ত অন্য কিছু কল্পনা করা কঠিন। যেভাবে প্রস্তাবিত বিল্ডিং এবং আনুষঙ্গিক স্ট্রাকচারগুলো পরিবেশের সাথে মিশে যায় তা নিখুঁত। এই বছরের বিজয়ী অসামান্য প্রতিভার অধিকারী এবং সত্যিই স্বীকৃতি পাওয়ার যোগ্য।”

'Inspireli Awards' মূলত সারাবিশ্বের বিশবিদ্যালয় পর্যায়ের স্থাপত্যকলার শিক্ষার্থীদের জন্য অন্যতম বড় প্রতিযোগিতা, যেখানে প্রতিবছর আর্কিটেকচার, আরবান ডিজাইন অ্যান্ড ল্যান্ডস্কেপ এবং ইন্টেরিয়র ডিজাইন এই ৩ ক্যাটেগরিতে বিজয়ীদের বাছাই করা হয়। সারাফ নাওয়ার ছাড়াও, এবছর এ প্রতিযোগিতার ফাইনালিস্ট ছিলেন ব্র্যাক বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের রাইমা রহমান এবং মোহাম্মদ কাফি উদ্দিন। স্থাপত্যকলার এই অর্জন আমাদের দেশে স্থাপত্যবিদ্যা এবং পরিবেশে স্থাপত্যের টেকসই ডিজাইনকে অনুপ্রাণিত করবে।

Though it was a tough job to complete a three floors with in 30 days and load-shedding hampered our works. But our team mates have taken all these challenges and work very hard over day and night. Finally we are very close to our success. In-sha-Allah, we will handed over our project in time.
