Our Story

Furniland is a sister concern of Akaba Timber industry Limited. Akaba’s journey initiated more than a decade ago with the leading private university in Bangladesh, North South University purchasing 1400 doors for their campus in Bashundhara. Akaba has thereafter successfully worked in projects for Bangladesh Army, Navy, Police, local and international organizations.

We have made doors, door-frames and furniture for hundreds of 5-star, 4-star and 3-star hotels. Some of the famous hotels among them are: Le Meridien (5-star hotel Dhaka), Six Season (Gulshan), Royal Tulip (Banani), The Palace Resort (Sylhet), Hotel Marino, Chittagong Boat Club (Navy), Best Western (Cox’s Bazaar), Grand Sylhet and Long Beach (Cox’s Bazaar). We work with clients in the Housing sector, builders including likes of Advance Development Ltd, SPL Builders Ltd and Oriental Builders Ltd are using doors, door frame, kitchen cabinet, partition doors, wooden windows and floors manufactured and installed by us. Akaba is the only industry in Bangladesh that has started the export of wooden doors and door-frame in the Middle East in 2010. In 2016, we have started the export of windows made of Mehgani to the United States of America (USA).

With an increase of orders, we have decided to divide our door and furniture concerns. Furniland is now the face of our furniture section, here we design and produce furniture for private homes and apartments, hotels, guestrooms and offices. Furniland design ranges from contemporary to classic for a well-designed interior which is then produced in our factory using machines with the help of skilled craftsmen. Artistry in craftsmanship and details make our furniture exclusive.
