A small project yesterday. The chair was lovely to start with, but totally impractical being white (with two teenage boys).
A quick paint, then sand. Followed by another round. Then dark wax to give the chair an aged look. Now to let it sit for a while.
You could change it more by applying more wax, or even removing some (clear wax takes it off).

Look at these amazing before and after photos from Michelle. This was her very first time using Fusion Mineral Paint.

I was about to pull apart my old couch and attempt reupholstering when I came across Fusion Mineral Paint.

The couch was a latte coloured faux suede fabric and although in good condition the fabric was showing signs of wear, especially on the arms.

With Kylie’s great advise I purchased the Ash colour paint and some furniture wax and went about giving it a new lease on life.

It now looks and feels like leather and looks fantastic! I even had enough paint left over to do the matching ottoman. I am excitedly looking forward to the next project!

Another project complete! The original photos of this chair actually look way better than it really was. The leather was scratched in a few places and it was looking very out-dated.
A paint job over a couple of days and here is the end result.
Fusion paint is so forgiving. It’s fun, quick and the end result is always great.

Wanting to share the beginning of this project, through to the end result. I had two cabinets made from hardwood and wanted them to look slightly rustic.
There was no prep necessary.
As you will see, I painted Ash on the corners and in places that I wanted to sand the top coat back so you could see the darker colour. I waited only 2 hours, rubbed over the edges with the wax puck (to make sanding super easy), then painted over with my light colour (Champlain). I let this dry (to the touch), sanded the corners to see the colour underneath and then very, very lightly sanded over the whole lot. Literally no pressure was applied (it was pretty smooth anyway).
Then the final coat.
Once dry to the touch, I sanded the corners and bits I wanted to show the Ash colour. Gave a quick wipe over with a damp cloth and finished.
So easy and the paint gives such great coverage.

An old tin trunk given a fresh make-over.

Just given a quick wipe over with a damp cloth and painted. Then lightly sanded on raised areas to give it an aged look. Easy.
