When we’re not building quality joinery be it kitchens , bathrooms , robes and shop and office fittouts we like to challenge ourselves.Since I was a skateboarder many moons ago I thought - let’s build a Longboard .
Deck - QLD Maple with a Quandong stringer 1.0 m (40in )
Trucks - Paris V 3 180mm RKP
Wheels - 70mm Roundhouse
Bearings - Bones Reds
Risers - 3mm
Deck grip - Clear Grizzly Bear
Topped off with 4 coats of satin urethane
Wow what a sweet ride 👍very quick and super responsive😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫

At Tropical Woodcrafts we are very proud of what we have accomplished to date , from residential and commercial all the way through to resort fit outs . Bedarra Island shutdown for 2026 . Done n Dusted As every year a very short time frame is allocated-we came off The Rock at midday , guests start arriving first up Monday morning - the pressure . A big shout out to all the team including our skipper Darryl ( trip after trip ) 💪.

Tropical Vets new Wongaling Beach practice is up and running. A nice tight schedule but hell that’s what we do 💪 A big thankyou to Tropical Vets , Moduline , Dean Skelton Plumbing and Soaps Electrical and our own lads Andrew , Ash n Mike - we couldn’t have had more tradies working in a confined space if we tried.
