Repurposed 150+ year old cast iron legs. Originally from an un-named, long closed gold mine in South western Tasmania.

Huon pine memorial box with lichtenberg fractal burns, finished with French polish.

This piece is special piece, I made it to hold the ashes of a close friend that was tragically murdered on the 12th November I've gifted it to his beautiful mother. Below is a link to a go-fund-me helping the family to cover funeral expenses. Any help would be very appreciated

Hi everyone, while an honour to make, this was a very emotional piece.

This is a Huon pine memorial box, I've made it for my good friend who was murdered horrifically in Hobart a week or so ago. I have donated it to the family as they are struggling to cover associated funeral costs.

Bit more resin work, finished product coming

Blanket box made from black heart sassafras and Blackwood. Patterns burnt in using a lichtenberg machine, cleaned out then filled with gold/copper coloured epoxy resin. Finished with gloss clearcoat

Been a bit quiet lately trying a few new things,
Here are the results
On the right, finished in oil keeping the natural tones of the timber, using a fender neck. On the left, finished with pearl resin coats with embedded opals, the pickup surrounds are made from apple tree . The neck is handmade using Sassafras with a deep purple resin fretboard.
