Hi folk. I thought I should touch base. This is the start of the rest of my kitchen. Unfortunately my loved Landcruiser blew a coolant hose I didn't know existed, and cooked the engine. It sort of caused a lot of conflicting thoughts and I have not progressed with my passion for the worry of making a mistake. The engine will be out today and rebuild starts next week. I've got my head sorted and will be able to get back to my kitchen in the next couple of weeks.

Hi folk.
All thanks goes to Angie Stubbs for having the trust in me to produce what you wanted...and the patience to wait for it. I manufactured this king bed from melaleuca (paper bark tee tree). It was a job this one. First the logs, cut 5 years, this held too much moisture and I had to dry the slabs in my bush kiln after sawing them. That took them down from 27% to 16%. 1.5 months later they were still 16%, so I started levelling them and let them sit for another month or so..14%. I leveled them properly the started making the head frame. That took some patience...and it was hot. By the time I finished the timber was down to 12% which is where I wanted it. I know Angie loves her bed and it has been an honour to make it for her.

Currently I am making the main part of my own kitchen. That will be worth seeing.

Hi folk.
My latest creation just finished. I need to clean the bench up. This fellow is made from mostly .8mm sheet metal and welded with .8mm innershield MIG wire. There was a bit of mumbling and the odd expletive.

ANOTHER CITRUS FARM IS BEING FORCED TO CLOSE. Some blame C19 and a conspiracy.
I put the blame squarely with all previous governments that allowed the Woolworths, Coles and IGA monopoly to take over and dictate their buy price to growers and sell price to you.

An example: The citrus farm I have got to know were told they had to supply Limes at 23cents each, landed in Brisbane. At that time, Woolworths were selling them to you for $2.40 each

The citrus farm I refer to is a progressive organisation. The have their own packing shed. The clean and pack for other local produces. The have been an exporter.

This farm has been a family owned producer for decades. It has employees who have worked there for up to 30 years. All employees are long term.

This is just one of many farms, some just walked away, some sold and their fruit trees are ripped out.

How, I don't know, but the Woolworths, Coles and IGA MONOPOLY needs to be forced to stop forcing growers to close and you to pay too much.

Think about it: Woolworths, Coles, IGA only care about profit, not you. They don't care about the producers they are forcing out of business. They don't care that YOU will have to be satisfied with imported produce.
