A sign for a local woodworker, Mezuzah parts, 3D printer RC plane parts, one of the many FedEx Freight drop offs for the month, lots of grooved oak planks, carved lettering for a sailboat that is going to compete in the Golden Globe Race circumnavigating the planet, another skate deck template for G&S, a glue up for a panel, Padauk parts ruined because I can't measure, the glue up finished to be a mug hanger for a San Diego based Osprey squadron, extending the legs of a bench, then with veneer installed, laser cut parts, then boxed, and last... a bunch of parts for Velotric bike displays.

My new shop sign is finally complete!

I used a mix of Baltic Birch, MDF, HDU, and acrylic—all CNC routed and laser cut. The slogan and faux brass dowels were 3D printed, and the tool holder inside the smaller gear was a fun touch.

The large letters feature brushed Dibond faces, mounted on standoffs with LED backlighting (though that part didn’t go quite as planned 😅). The “hand plane” isn’t printed—it’s the real deal, still fully usable!

Glad to have this project wrapped up—time to get back to making sawdust!
