And the velvet theme continues! Completed and delivered yesterday, this stunning pair of chairs have had a thorough transformation. (I can’t take all the credit though: Thanks to Helena from Sandy & Wood for her fabulous wood restoration on some very wonky and damaged frames). Such a pleasure to finish the upholstery work with such gorgeous fabric.

One persons trash is anothers treasure right? Its no secret I love mid century furniture and butterfly chairs are a classic of the era. The frames for these were found by the side of the road. And a little sewing magic was all that was need to complete the seats. (Fabric inspired by a previous client and our lush garden backdrop).

A little velvet luxury to finish off the year for some amazing fellow Gapians. Despite the dog, cat and young kids, apparently the fabric is holding up well! 😊

Sadly this gorgeous olive green chair that I found in a thrift shop in Amsterdam last year, just wasnt going to fit in my suitcase and come home with me. However I cant wait to find something similar and try and recreate this stitched checked effect. (Plus I'm a sucker for green hues, so it will definitely have to be olive coloured like this one).

A fresh new look for this 60's Parker dining table and chair setting! Its had a complete make over: old varnish stripped, chairs re-upholstered, and a good lashing of danish oil to bring out the beautiful grain of the wood. (almost tempted to keep it for ourselves) :-)

I have to say I've got a soft spot for this project and the stunning fabric from Warwicks.

Curtain alterations are go. These ones needed a shorten from floor length to just below the window ledge. And it's really made a difference to the look of the room. Of course miss 15 was getting a whole room transformation too to go with the new window coverings. (Part of a surprise for this lucky teenager away at school camp).

Rescued this classic a few months ago from the depths of a 2nd hand sellers shed. The fabric was barely hanging on, the wood pitted and the joins wobbly. This baby got the works. New fabric, re-gluing and a great sand and polish by the clever Brett. She's now got a great spot on the back deck enjoying elevated views of the mountains.
