🌞What a great day for a clean up !
We made the most of the sunshine today and scraped the mud from all the chairs and supplies that we had stored near the river stage when the flood hit in May 2025.

☔️ Over the past 12 months the Club has been helping many others get through their flood recovery.

✅ Today was time to clean up our supplies and get ready for the next community events were involved in.

🙏Thank you to all our wonderful Club members who turned up today to make a big job, much easier!

To mark the 12 month flood date our members set up a table at the Coastline Credit Union in Taree, selling merchandise, with proceeds going to those that are still recovering from May 2025

💡Mark Hardy from Mackie Electric & Refrigeration - Mackies shared his knowledge today ,

We now know :
✅ Mackies were established in 1956! so they are celebrating 70 years of service to this community!

✅ they employ more than 70 employees, including Taree, Port Macquarie and Coffs Harbour.

✅ that makes them deeply connected to all in the manning valley

The 2026 international women’s day lunch at Club Old Bar was a true celebration of the strength of women to support others, uplift community , step in when there are no other options , and to always strive for change ! Our guest speaker Caroline Bromhead was an inspiration, receiving a standing ovation for her story of resilience. Congratulations to Rhonda Futterleib for running the fabulous panel session with Alison Penfold, Mark Hardy, nicholson and ambour all sharing their source of strength over the past 12 months. Thank you lewis for being the outstanding MC and reminding us of our favourite dance moves !!
