Well hey everyone, it's been a while since we popped our heads up on the FB stage and said G'day.

I know it's still a bit gloomy for some folks down on John Street and the environs, when it comes to the absence of ATLD; believe us, we really miss you guys too. We had a special little place there and it felt good being a hub, where there was a hole before...and perhaps, after!

However, it's time to focus on the now, the future and the 'all things good' movement, which we are doing at our new home in Redfern.

Gibbons Street, or Gibbons Street Cafe as social media like to refer to us, is now up and cranking. We have kept quite a few of our popular fixtures from The Dock menu, plus we've brought back one or two, including the Thai Pork Salad, as well as collection of some glorious new dishes. We have an enviable kitchen, so the skies the limit for chef and his gang.

The coffee is as good as, if not possible better than ever and the space is something to behold.

We'd love to see some of our old friends from John Street, so please pop over. We're at Shop 1, 7-9 Gibbons Street, on the corner with Marian Street. We're opposite the southern end of the train station. Check us out on our new FB home at Gibbons Street Cafe.

Well folks,

It's hard to believe it, but this is our last ever weekday at ATLD and after our breakfast service tomorrow, those ennobled wooden doors will close for the last time.

Oak, myself and the gang are feeling so many different things right now, especially as our new project is demanding a lot of us, but woven deep within that emotional fabric, is a thread of funereal black - we are saying farewell to a family we have come to love and with whom we've grown too!

Thank you to everyone of you for making our humble 'hole in the wall' such a dynamic hub, a bright beacon in the semi industrial hinterland of Leichhardt.

From our loyal local business workers, to the ute driving, power tool waving tradies; from the treasure-hunting auction fossickers, to the school mums with finely tuned caffeine receptors; from the regular Joes to the wonderfully quirky itinerants, we'd like to say a huge thank you.

It's not our choice to go, so please don't think us flakey or uncommitted. This is the hand we've been dealt; after 2 years of hard work and so many wonderful lunch specials, we have to walk away with nothing to put under the mattress. It's tough, but we're philosophical and we believe the vacuum that will fill the space we leave behind will tell it's own karmic tale.

Thanks to everyone and we wish you all good luck in life and in business. It's a funny old world and somehow we've all gotten so focussed on the getting, but family, friendship and making the most of every day is where it's at. Yes, even more important than reducing company tax or paying off those ridiculously inflated mortgages. With that we're stepping off the soap box and stepping out of John Street.

So Saturdays are a bit different now, with an al fresco dinning feel!!

We don't have access inside until 11am when Stone Pony opens, so we are going with an outdoor terrace vibe. The breakfast and coffee is still just as great, so come check it out:)

Hello everyone, it's announcement time...

Firstly, just a reminder to 'John Streeters' that we are now back on Saturdays - 7.30 to 1.00pm. We have some nice new additions to the menu too.

Also, we'd like to thank all of our regulars for embracing the new parking restrictions and inform those who don't yet know about them, just exactly what they are!!

Well basically, none of the covered parking spaces at the front of the building are for ATLD customers, including takeaway collection. Also, you can't park across the driveways to collect orders...we can however bring your order to you, so long as you are in your vehicle with the engine running, then you're sweet. If you leave your vehicle, then you are actually putting us in breach of our lease!!
Not of our own making, but reality all the same.

Your continued support and respect of these restrictions is hugely appreciated.

Have a great weekend folks...well, do the best you can considering that the world's most pivotal western democracy is being run by a narcissistic tangerine, with possibly the worst hair ever seen and who is incapable of pronouncing the proper noun China;)

Another Friday dissolves into the past like candy floss in a duck pond...

Lunchtime today is Chicken massaman curry, with rice & salad. (We use thigh fillets so the meat is tender and succulent. Arroy:))
