Brenan Park, Smithfield 🌳 Kids Sorted!
Looking for a fab family spot? Brenan Park’s got you covered! Awesome fenced playground with swings, slides & climbing for all ages. Soft fall ground = less ouchies! Plus, heaps of grassy space for running wild, picnic tables & BBQs for lunch. Paths for scooters & bikes too. It’s a local fave, so can get busy on weekends.

It was freezing last night but this park is impressive

Just checked out Meere Park in Lurnea today. What a great space it could be! It’s got everything for families – skate ramps for the adventurous, four basketball courts for some fun, a playground for the little ones, and BBQs for a relaxed lunch.

It was a little sad to see it’s not being cared for as well as it could be. There was rubbish scattered around, a burnt-out car which wasn’t a pretty sight, and fences that need some TLC.

We even saw a dumped bag near the rocks that looked a bit concerning.

Liverpool Council needs to upgrade this space before hiring it out to the public.

It would be amazing to see this park get the attention it needs so all our families can really make the most of it.

I finally stopped by Havard Park in Prestons today – you know, the one right on that bend of Kurrajong Road!

While the playground is a bit cozy, I was pleasantly surprised to find a nice walking path with outdoor gym stations spread along the way. Perfect for a little stroll and workout!

Rural residents will receive a green-lidded bin and FOGO kitchen caddy to dispose of food and garden waste and will be able to join FOGO from 7 July 2025.

That means you can reduce your reliance on your red bin by:

✅ Diverting grass clippings, leaves and small branches into your new green-lidded bin
✅ Adding food scraps, leftovers, meat, and bones
✅ Enjoying a cleaner, greener Liverpool!

Your new green-lidded bin will be collected weekly, helping reduce waste sent to landfill.
