🙏🏽The king of Kings, with his crown of thorns.
His hair like wool and his dark Nazarene skin slashed- bleeds like any other man.
But he wasn’t just any other man. He was the son of God. The Son of man, the Holy lamb and the redeemer of all Sins. In him we are free. In him we are whole. His name stands above them all and we remember who he is, what he did and what was done on that cross that day….. we keep time by his life alone and we wait faithfully for his return- wholeheartedly believing im his signs, miracles- his resurrection and ascension into heaven

This ceramic piece was wonderfully and fearfully made from the same clay the great potter made us from. For we are his children and when he came to raise us up with the new covenant in his blood it was done this way.
For from this earth we were made and to this earth we return. Until god returns we keep the flowers watered and the animals fed- we keep our hearts open and our knees bent

Section from the oil painting of the Black Madonna holding the lifeless body of Jesus, with her grasp pushing into the very same wound she was made from out of Adam’s side.
For the world, Jesus was the Christ- but for The Madonna it was her child. Painting this painting has reveled so much to me and was part of the process of grieving my mother who I was honored to suffer with in her last days.
She was my savior- my Christ- she paid the ultimate price to save me from the evil that took her from this world. I honor her and god both by giving my life and will over to the God of my understanding. The god that saves, Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
May his return sooth the aches of all hearts who grieve.

This yeah I have been studying The black Jesus. It has changed me in ways that I cannot begin to express so I found myself not even sharing my work. So before the year is out I’ll share a small section of this work as I am in the process of relocating and not sure when I will be exhibiting. With gods help- before he returns .

The suffering Christ is oil pastels on mixed media band poster. With glow in the dark elements. There is so much I can say about what this piece means and what it means to me but I’ll let it speak for itself, and just add that starting this piece was the turning point for me in my own redemption story . Thank you Jesus
