The small details are often what hold a good repair together.

Flat Cane Pith Binding is ideal for seat weaving, securing joins and finishing cane chair repairs neatly. It comes in a range of widths, so you can choose the right size for the piece you’re working on.

A handy tip: soak the binding in cold water for 5–10 minutes before use. This makes it more flexible and easier to work with.

Planning a cane repair but unsure which width you need? View the range through the link in our bio or message us for guidance.

The heart of craftsmanship is in the details most people may never notice.

Every binding secured, every strand worked back into place and every weakened section repaired by hand takes patience, experience and genuine care for the piece in front of us.

This wicker setting was carefully restored to preserve its original character and keep quality furniture in use. Seeing it finished and ready to be enjoyed again is always the most rewarding part. 🤎

This is the kind of damage that can be easy to ignore at first.

The outer weave on these wicker chairs has started breaking away around the arms and frame, leaving the material underneath exposed. Once those edges become loose, continued use can cause the surrounding weave to lift and unravel further.

Having the chair assessed early may help limit how far the damage spreads and make it easier to plan the right repair.

Have you noticed broken strands, lifting bindings or exposed areas on your furniture? Send us a full photo of the piece and a close-up of the damage for an assessment and quote.

The Cesca Stool helps create a space where people naturally want to sit, whether it is for breakfast before work, an afternoon coffee or a long conversation over drinks. Its cane and timber bring warmth, while the chrome frame keeps everything feeling open.

Some chairs are worth more than what you can replace them with.

These wicker chairs belonged to our customer’s late father, so restoring them is about preserving the memories attached to each piece as much as repairing the damaged weave.

Backed by more than 40 years of wicker-work experience, our team can assist with hand weaving, machine caning and other wicker repairs to help well-loved furniture stay in use.

Bentwood chairs are made to work hard, especially in busy hospitality spaces.

We recently repaired a collection of bentwoods for one of our hospitality clients, restoring the loose joints, worn finishes and structural details that come with daily use.

Regular repair and maintenance can help extend the life of quality furniture, prevent smaller issues from becoming more expensive problems and keep every chair stable, presentable and ready for customers. Because the comfort and condition of your seating are all part of the experience your guests remember.

If you run a café, restaurant, event space, venue or hospitality business, we can assist with one-off repairs or ongoing furniture maintenance.

Call us on (02) 9792 4437 for a consultation, or message us to discuss your furniture.

Cane does not have to stop at chairs. 🤎

For this project, we supplied the cane materials used across the wall and ceiling panels, as well as the statement lighting. It is great to see how our client transformed them into a warm, cohesive feature throughout the space.

The natural weave adds texture and detail while still allowing the interior to feel light and open. A beautiful example of how cane can be used beyond furniture in cafés, restaurants, retail stores and other commercial spaces.
