PROJECT MANAGER/ESTIMATOR POSITION - INQUIRE VIA EMAIL [email protected]
We are seeking a detail-oriented and driven Estimator to join our expanding team! This role is integral to our pre-construction process and will involve preparing accurate and competitive tenders for general carpentry and door installation works. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with builders, suppliers, and clients to deliver timely and cost-effective solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and submit accurate estimates, tenders, and detailed scopes of work
- Conduct quantity take-offs using On-Center or Buildsoft (training provided)
- Offer alternative solutions and value-engineering options to meet client budgets
- Provide cost planning advice and construction cost estimates
- Liaise with builders, suppliers, and stakeholders throughout the tendering process
- Maintain and manage documentation for multiple concurrent projects
- Ensure timely communication and updates with clients regarding project quotes
Skills and Experience Required:
- Minimum 2–3 years experience in an estimating role, ideally within the carpentry or broader construction industry
- Sound knowledge of construction materials, methods, and current market rates
- Strong cost planning and analytical skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and digital estimating software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong problem-solving ability and high attention to detail
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Current White Card, valid driver’s licence, and reliable transport
- Full Australian working rights (Sponsorship may be considered for the right candidate)
