Honestly, this is something we’ve been thinking about a lot. Somewhere along the way, everything started looking a little too polished, a little too predictable. And while we love a beautiful, pared-back space, we also love a home that tells you something about the person living in it.

Give us the odd little object, the colour you can’t stop thinking about, the vintage piece with a story, the artwork that makes absolutely no sense to anyone else but you. Give us the things that make a space feel lived in.

Because good design can be beautiful, but it should also make you feel something. And that takes people willing to experiment, make a mess, break a few rules and put a bit of themselves into what they create.

This audio really got us thinking about all of it. Credit to for putting it into words.

Paint colour is one of those things that can completely change a room, and somehow we still underestimate it.

A warm white can make timber feel richer, a soft neutral can pull a whole material palette together, and the right colour can give a room an entirely different point of view.

We’ve been looking at a few Australian projects where the paint choice really stayed with us from barely-there whites to colours with a little more conviction.

Because sometimes the wall is doing far more work than you realise. 🤎
