Woodworking Wednesday: using my dad’s old thicknesser, 30+ years old, to clean up some old hardwood, to be used in some new ideas thought up whilst the shed was too hot to work in over summer.

It’s woodworking Wednesday. Hand selected Victorian ash displaying sap line, voids and knots, is finished being glued together for a table top. It is now awaiting some knot hole filling, sanding and oiling. It’s going to look stunning once mounted on its vibrant steel frame.

It’s been a while since our last post, we have been busy the past few months with our work, but have been planning, prototyping and making a new range of stools and tables for a client. Today was back in the shed, cutting circles with the help of out of vic ash for our new tables. Opening our books to custom orders, as we love working and creating with people on unique products.

Lots has been happening behind the scenes, day trips to mills to source new materials, working on website and new designs. Not sure where this venture will lead but we’re having the best time doing it! 🫶
