At Taras Richmond Farmstay we offer a choice of two clean and modern, self-contained eco-friendly apartments. Feed the animals with us daily or explore the farm at your leisure and meet our menagerie of animals - dog, sheep, pony, cow, chickens, ducks, pet rabbits and guinea pigs. Or, just relax and enjoy the peace and quiet, or do some night-time star gazing.

************** Sugarloaf Apartment

Our Sugarloaf Apartment has 2 bedrooms, and is suitable for up to 5 people. A basket of breakfast provisions including fresh bread and award-winning jams is included in the tariff. The Sugarloaf apartment has a large queen bed room (with sizeable en-suite) and a separate large living area with kitchen facilities. The second bedroom has twin beds. On request, an additional single bed can be placed in the queen bedroom for a 5th person. The only bathroom in this apartment is the large en-suite off the main bedroom. We are a child-friendly business and a cot, high-chair and selection of kids toys are also available if required. This apartment is wheel-chair friendly. Outside there is a large patio area with table and chairs and a BBQ. A washing machine is also available.

************** Wellington Studio **********************

The Wellington Studio is suitable for singles or a couple. It is named for the views from the bedroom window, across the paddocks to Mount Wellington. It has a queen bed room, separate kitchen and spacious bathroom with bathtub and separate shower. This apartment is not suitable for wheelchairs, pets or children. The Wellington Studio kitchen is equipped with full size fridge, hotplates, microwave, cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery. A washing machine is also available. The bedroom has two comfortable arm chairs, and a flat-screen TV with DVD player to help you relax

There is plenty of off-street, level, free parking.

Floods in some parts of Hobart last week - but we had no ‘excitement’ here at all - the river rose a bit for all of 24 hours and the paddocks had a good soak whilst we were warm and cosy in the house! Life goes on as as usual here.

Don’t forget to include a trip to Zoo Doo if you stay with us - located just 10-15minutes drive from our farm it is a great outing for kids and adults, make sure you take the safari bus and pat the animals - our favourites are the new baby zebra and the camels.
