Position available for a qualified Cabinetmaker/Carpenter to join our team.
For 30 years we have been servicing the needs of regular national clientele for their WA sites. We specialise in commercial projects, including commercial cabinets, commercial fitouts, commercial maintenance, and building repairs. No two days are the same, you will be working unsupervised with a great team that continues to complement each other who are certified in various trades. The position is on offer to applicants willing to work unsupervised both in our workshop and out on site
Applicants for consideration must be able to,
Have a Cert 3 or similar experience in Cabinetmaking
Read plans and drawings
Create your own cutting list from drawings when making cabinets
Fabricating custom items
Maintaining high quality standards of all work produced
Ability to install on site
Have basic carpentry abilities
Gain a police clearance
Gain a working with children clearance
Work unsupervised
The position may involve quite a specialist also in one of the below areas or it may suit someone looking to diversify across any of these aspects,
General Customer Service and Support
Read plans and drawings
Communicate with our sub-contractors across many trades
Cabinetmaking β working from your own cutting lists
Commercial maintenance
Assist in small project management
Other requirements you may need if you don't already have,
Police Clearance
Working with children clearance
Forklift Licence
White or Blue card
Valid Driver's Licence
Own car
What we are looking for:
An outgoing, pragmatic individual who enjoys challenges and being part of a friendly team. Experience in as many areas mentioned above is beneficial but not essential, our business works across many areas in these facets. Excellent written via email and Verbal Communication Skills. Experience or knowledge of the building industry terminology
Computer proficiency with experience in Microsoft Products especially Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Our service IT system we use is Aroflo, easy to use and training will be provided
Good Telephone Manner
Excellent Time Management Skills
Ability to work independently and in a team
Self-motivated & willing to take initiative and Responsibility for Tasks
Ability to multi task and be open to diversifying and learning new skills as defined above, on the job learning can be provided
Have a cheerful and friendly disposition
As the position is defined above, it is, or can be quite diverse. We are a small business with a small number of full time staff but we deal with a large volume of sub-contractors. While the primary role is as a qualified cabinetmaker/carpenter, suitable candidates will need to adapt at times to work alone or in a team and communicate with our sub-contractors across WA.
