Pair of mid century Don Rex ‘speed frame’ armchairs, fully restored

Price is per chair. Pair of completely rebuilt, restored and reupholstered mid century Don Rex ‘speed frame’ armchairs. The solid QLD maple timber frames have been stripped and finished with Danish oil. All cushions (seat and back) have new Dacron and Future Foam’s top of the range Quantum Foam (which carries a lifetime warranty). They have been covered in new Italian fabric from Verve Designer Collections (Trapani Aztec). These are rock solid and super comfortable and come with Alfred & Sons guarantee on workmanship.

Danish mid century lounge chair and matching footrest by Børge Mogensen for Fredericia Stolefabrik

The ‘BM-2254/ Slædestolen’ sled chair and footstool were designed by Børge Mogensen in 1956 and produced by Fredericia Stolefabrik. Børge Mogensen was one of the most influential designers in shaping Danish Modern design and this chair showcases the simple and functional aesthetic that he is famous for. Both the chair and footstool are made from solid European oak and are exceptionally well built (check out the finger joints in the armrests). The chair is adjustable in two different positions making it particularly suitable for use as a reading chair. This is from my personal collection and it’s condition is as near perfection as one can get for a vintage piece of furniture.

Hvidt & Mølgaard for France & Son mid century Danish two-tier circular coffee table

Exceptional solid teak two-tier circular coffee table designed by Peter Hvidt and Orla Mølgaard-Nielsen for France & Son. Peter Hvidt and Orla Molgaard-Nielsen were pioneers of mid century Danish furniture design, renowned for their simple and precise aesthetic. Today, their work can be found exhibited at MoMA, Melbourne’s National Gallery, and Copenhagen’s Design Museum. This coffee table is the 'Minerva' (model FD-515) and features a 99cm circular solid teak top with a lower shelf of hand-woven rattan set in place with four brass brackets. The craftsmanship on this coffee table is first class and it's in absolutely pristine condition.

Mid century Scandinavian metamorphic rolling cocktail drinks cabinet by Torbjørn Afdal for Bruksbo

Exceptional 1960s ‘flip top’ bar-cabinet-drinks trolley featuring figured teak front and back, black laminate top and brass hardware complete with original keys. The black laminate bar top slides and flips open, doubling the serving space and transforming the cabinet into a stand-up bar. The cabinet features two felt-lined shelves for wine bottles, a dovetail draw for cocktail accessories and brass rails on the inside of the two doors for glassware. Mounted on castor wheels, it can be easily moved when entertaining guests. It’s in outstanding condition and we have finished it with fresh coats of Danish oil.

1970s Danish Deluxe 'Mareka' swivel armchairs, fully restored to mint condition

Released in the early 1970s, the 'Mareka' range was essentially a luxury swivel variation of Danish Deluxe's popular 'Rifka' series. These don’t come up that often and we have two of them available - both restored to mint condition. The blackwood timber frames have been stripped and finished with fresh coats of Danish oil and everything is new: new foam (Future Foam's top of the range Quantum Foam), new Pirelli webbing, new decking cloth, new 70s-vibe fabric (choc/coffee crushed velvet from ). And yes, they are incredibly comfortable. Price is per chair (pair is $2900).

Mid century Danish Juul Kristensen for Glostrup Møbelfabrik 3-seat sofa

Designed by Danish designer Juul Kristensen and manufactured by Glostrup Møbelfabrik in the 1960s/70s, this 3-seat sofa is crafted from solid teak and features sculpted organic lines and majestic oversized paddle arms. We have fully restored to mint condition. The teak frame has been completely pulled apart then stripped, reassembled and finished with fresh coats of Danish oil. The brand new cushions feature Future Foam's premium Quantum Foam (which carries a lifetime warranty), new dacron, and top-of-the range $150 per metre Italian boucle fabric. It's rock solid and super comfortable. This is Danish mid century furniture at its finest and a piece from our personal collection (we just can’t keep them all 😂). Matching Juul Kristensen armchair also available.

Mid century Elliotts of Newbury highboard, professionally restored to showroom condition

Outstanding high sideboard / credenza from Elliotts of Newbury, a mid century British furniture manufacturer known for high quality workmanship. This piece is beautifully crafted and features generous storage space with multiple open display areas and closed storage cupboards with sliding doors and adjustable shelving. There is also a drop down door liquor cabinet and two drawers with unblemished original grey flocking. Made in a period when good quality British manufacturers were still using exotic hardwoods, the frame is crafted from afromosia (African teak) and all the panels feature zebrano veneer, so-called for its lustrous zebra-striped appearance. We have fully stripped the entire piece and finished with fresh coats of Danish oil. It's in outstanding condition, absolutely rock solid and will make a BIG statement in any room.

Designed by Gunnar Myrstrand in 1964, these chairs were part of Swedish maker Källemo´s 'Boké' range. The chair frame is constructed from solid rosewood, with a leather backrest and a down-filled leather seat cushion. Incredibly well built, the craftsmanship is as good as it gets. Beautiful to look at and supremely comfortable. Perfect condition. Price is for the pair. Boom 👊

Designed by Danish designer Juul Kristensen and manufactured by Glostrup Møbelfabrik in the 1960s/70s, this easy chair is crafted from solid teak and features sculpted organic lines and majestic oversized paddle arms. What we love about this chair is that it's a wider chair, rock solid and just super comfortable. This Scandinavian inspired 1970/80s leather swivel armchair and footstool by South Australian furniture maker Joe Rüfenacht for JR Furniture is an absolute stunner! Elegant and refined, Rüfenacht swivel chairs are prized for both their comfort and style (they won an Australian Design Award in 1978). The original black leather is near perfect. Swivel mechanism works perfectly and the chair is exceptionally comfortable! Price includes the matching footstool.
