Position: Full-Time | 8am – 5pm

Experience Level: Mid to Senior-Level

About Us

The Tractor Company is a family run, respected and customer-focused tractor and equipment dealership dedicated to providing top-quality service for agricultural and commercial customers. Our service department is growing, and we’re looking for a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team.

Position Overview

The Diesel Mechanic will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of tractors and diesel-powered equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical skills, experience with agricultural machinery, and a commitment to delivering outstanding service.

Key Responsibilities

Onsite and offsite servicing
Diagnose and repair diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and drivetrains
Perform routine maintenance and inspections on tractors and equipment
Troubleshoot mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and manuals
Complete work orders accurately and in a timely manner
Communicate effectively with customers and service advisors
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Stay current with manufacturer training and service updates

Qualifications

Experience as a mechanic/technician—preferably with tractors, diesel engines, or heavy equipment
Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic diagnostic skills
Ability to read service manuals and technical schematics
Valid driver’s license
Forklift license (Preferred)
Medium Rigid Truck License (Required)
Heavy combination license (Not essential)
Ability to lift 20kg and work in a shop environment
Reliable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented
