Today we’re installing the plywood subfloor in this Mercedes Sprinter, creating the strong, level base that everything else is built on. It’s one of those steps you’ll never see once the van is finished, but it’s one of the most important parts of the build.

Installing the roof rack and getting this van one step closer to adventure. 🚐

We use the Front Runner roof rack because its adjustable slat design allows us to maximise solar panel placement while still making room for roof vents, air conditioning, Starlink and other accessories.

A strong, versatile platform that makes every build more functional and ready for life off-grid. ☀️🔧

One of the reasons we love using the Front Runner roof rack from Dometic on our campervan conversions 👌

The adjustable slat system allows us to position solar panels exactly where we need them while still leaving room for roof vents, air conditioners, Starlink, awnings and other accessories.

Another project completed and ready for the next stage. 🚐

This build is now finished and awaiting engineering certification before hitting the road.

In the meantime, we’re rolling straight into the next Mercedes Sprinter campervan conversion. From empty van to fully custom home on wheels – stay tuned as we bring another build to life.

The finishing touches are going in, including the custom-made mattresses made by COMFORT CAMPING CO that turn this van into a comfortable home away from home.
