✨ Can I let you in on a little secret? ✨

This stunning hall table isn’t just a hall table… it’s actually disguising the return air for the A/C system in this gorgeous heritage home.
‌
We didn’t want to cut into those pressed metal ceilings, stick a clunky vent in the wall or ruin the look of the amazing craftsmen finished floors with a floor vent…. so we collaborated with to create this custom piece. With its soft curves and vertical timber detailing, it ties beautifully into the rest of the home—while the open fronts allow air to flow exactly as it should.

Functional and beautiful… the way every detail in a home should be.

Who doesn’t love a good transformation to kick off the weekend? Here’s a peek at the recently completed bathroom from our Mill House Project – a space that’s as timeless as it is functional. Be sure to scroll to the last photos for the before shots!

A last-minute floor plan change allowed us to create this bright and beautifully appointed bathroom, filled with classic high-end details. From elegant finishes to carefully curated fixtures, every element was designed to bring both luxury and practicality together, in particular this custom vanity by with its subtle curves and classic style.

A 2025 aim…get better at posting on Instagram. 29 days in and here I am. Current stats not looking great but hey, I am who I am 😝

To start the year off, I’ll introduce myself because to be frank, I don’t think I ever really have. Mick and I officially started Holm & Wood 9 years ago but prior to that we had our own separate little businesses. I studied Interior Design 13 years ago when living in Sydney. Prior to that I studied marketing and travelled/worked overseas and interstate. Fun fact: Mick and I met in Cusco, Peru. We climbed a mountain then got drunk on cheap mojitos and the rest is history 😝
‌
We made the “grown up” decision to move to Orange 10 years ago and we slowly but surely built up the business in between having Winnie (6) and Ralph (4).
‌
I love Interior Design. There is so much involved in building and renovating a house and I love being able to understand my clients and help them through the process, whether that just be holding their hand OR taking the lead….whatever suits them best.
‌
In my downtime (who am I kidding, there isn’t currently much) I’m an avid podcast listener, watching of interior programs on YouTube and I like to clean as procrastination for what I should actually probably be doing 🤷🏻‍♀️
‌
That’s me in a nutshell. Welcome to 2025…I think this is going to be another fun year with some cool projects already in the works. Stay tuned for my intermittent posting.

The kitchen of our Mill House project, captured so beautifully here. The overall concept for this heritage home was to stick with the classics and really love how light and bright this new kitchen is! A huge improvement of the most recent 70’s kitchen that was there.
