Things are changing....AND it's for the better!

You may have recently heard that Will (our founder) has purchased LA Wardrobres.

For some this can seem a bit confusing - Are we fine crafted solid timber furniture company? or are we now wardrobes and kitchens??

This developement couldn't have come at a better time. The market is changing and we are wanting to stay relevant with it.

So what does it mean?

We ARE custom timber furniture and joinery, Brennan & Co will always cater to the handcrafted, artisan pieces and designs. The exciting fact is that now with LA Wardrobes by our side we have the ability to produce larger scale packages with increased efficiency.

So really all it means is - If you want it, we can make it for you!! So give us a call or send an email, we can't wait to hear from you.

How about that for a wedding ceremony backdrop! Congratulations to the happy couple from the whole team at Brennan&Co

You may remember this door we built for our wonderful clients north of Newcastle back in early 2024.
A beautiful American black walnut and brass channel 3 meter door. And not to mention it weighs roughly 400kg!

The Lion Chair

A walnut and brass built by Hamish at Brennan & Co with the upholstery by Fiona at

Few facts:
- The side piece is constructed with bridal joins (see image 3 for details)
- the lion head ends had to be carefully routed and housed (see image 5)
- the armrests are one piece of timber, cut and rejoined on an angle to keep grain and colour consistent.
- the armrest taper from 73mm to 45mm (see image 7)
- the chair was made complete with a matching footrest (image 8)
- dovetail joins were used for strength and design (see image 9)

An incredibly intricate design by Mike and beautifully built by Hamish. A piece we are all extremely proud of.

A dual purpose 1500m American Oak sideboard.

The purpose build design covers an air-condition vent, hence the powder-coated perforated mesh fronts. The fluted base ties in with the other design features in the home including the custom made stairs into the hallway and the drinks cabinets in the dining room.

All design aspects were considered with this build. It's always a joy to work closely with the interior designer and the builder with builds like this.
