I've not had capacity to post much of late, but there's been such warm interest in mezuzzot in the last few months! These are a few recent pieces coming out of the workshop this week.

A little story board for today's bridle joints.
Pic #1&2: showing v simple jig & how stock sits in it.
#2 Jig slides along panel saw fence safely holding stock upright & keeping hands well clear of blade. ( my hand might look close in photo, but blade becomes entirely covered by jig & stock, minimising risk)
#4 you can see here cuts done from both sides, giving me nice clean internal faces + waste section. I'm not actually using a ripping blade for this, but crosscut blade as I find the cut to be cleaner (tho I have another newer crosscut blade I keep for my finishing sharp cuts)
#5 shifted the fence back a little to remove the waste in centre.
#6 using razor sharp chisels remove rest of waste & achieve nice clean interior upper face.
#7 result πŸ‘Œ
