A rainy Saturday morning on the tour of MIRRAT (Melbourne International Ro-Ro and Auto Terminal), part of Open House Melbourne’s “Open State” for Melbourne Design Week.
MIRRAT is a benchmark in sustainable infrastructure with a 6 Star Green Star design rating from the Green Building Council of Australia and the first project in Australia to receive an ISCA rating of "Excellent".
The interior designed by Plus Architecture reflects the company’s Norwegian/Swedish roots with its extensive use of timber as well as its maritime connection with exposed metal beams, piping and grills.
