So these past 2 days I’ve been without my work van. As it has to go into the dealership for some warranty work.

Yesturday I got a phone call from someone who’s car (suzuki swift) while driving home all of a sudden ran rough (mis firing )and the engine light came on.

Customer said it was there only car and they needed it for work…

Now I wasn’t able to come out till Friday unfortunately due to not having my work van, with a few simple questions i talked him through it over the phone, and I said check the coils as it’s super common for them to fail and arch out inside the cylinder…

This morning I received a lovely phone saying that it was the coil and the customer replaced it them self, and now the car runs perfect again.

Now that made my day, to be able to give someone some free advice over the phone and talk them through it and for it to work out successfully is truely satisfying.

Sometimes giving back is the greatest feeling, and I always try to give back and be the best with all my customers in any situation.

Big topic (cabin filters)

Ive come across so many car lately that have cabin filters that havnt been replaced in ages, as these high end dealerships usually never change them or charge the customer for them without even replacing it. There alway overlooked.

Now

🚗 What it does

It filters the air that comes into your car’s cabin through the HVAC system. That includes:
• Dust & dirt
• Pollen & allergens
• Exhaust fumes & odors
• Mold spores and debris

😷 Why changing it matters

If it’s clogged or dirty:
• Airflow drops → weak A/C or heat
• Bad smells (musty, mildew vibes)
• More allergens → sneezing, headaches, itchy eyes
• Extra strain on the blower motor (can lead to pricier repairs)

If you or your passengers have allergies or asthma, this becomes especially important.

⏱️ How often?

General rule of thumb:
• Every 12,000–15,000km - or once a year
• More often if you:
• Drive in dusty areas
• Sit in heavy traffic a lot
• Have pets
• Live somewhere with high pollen

How much does it usually cost?

• Depends on what vehicle but is usually around about $30 - $80 now that’s not much money to keep you and your loved ones breathing safe!
