This chair had seen better days but it was nothing that some new springs, new strapping and fresh blue stripe recover couldn't fix.
Some fabrics just work and clients pick them over and over again. I think this blue cotton stripe from Wortley might be one of those.

Some rooms require a very paired back chair sitting in the window. This was one of those rooms.
This minimalist space, in Hamilton East, was a thoughtful arrangement of natural materials, tribal artworks and antiques- all smiling together in the most amazing egg yolk walls.
The chair, in an ivory cotton/linen blend is just perfect.

My version of Pantone of the year, Cloud Dancer- obviously mixing up textures for a palette like this- bleached oak + chunky wool + grasscloth + boucle + floaty sheers + embroidery + ceramic + cotton fringing + lime washed rattan.

I also like to include subtle elements of warmth which can work wonders.

Also, keep in mind that a styled flatlay can look very appealing but the realities of modern life have to be considered when designing any interior. In short, this is beautiful but not practical. 🤔😄

Linen triple pinch pleats layered over floaty sheers- these curtains have upped the charm factor in this Hamilton cottage.
We took the rod right up towards the ceiling and added ball finials on the ends of the rods. The soft blue curtain is beautiful against the original floors, stained dark.

A simple rod pocket curtain is a cost effective way to dress a small window. This one went up last week in Hamilton. It matches the ochre linen in the main curtain on the adjecent wall and is also fully lined for full blockout effect.
A love a small curtain, they are so charming.
