Recently completed deck steps at another Adamstown job.
Steps can be quite daunting to set out & build, but once you get your head around the proper layout, they are easy! This one took a bit longer with a few extra calculations. Top of stairs are 1700mm wide on the deck, tapered to 1300mm wide at the landing.
All in all, Ian & Sandra were stoked with the result.
Ian & Sandra wasted no time with a family gathering & entertaining the following evening, smashed out an 11hr day to finish the job for them. Just hope no oily foods were split on it before Ian could get it coated!!

Not my job, but my workmanship! Sub-contracting to another super busy chippy, the existing deck was well past it's expiry date, even before the attempt at strengthening the joists some time ago!!
Nice spot at Nords Wharf over looking Lake Macquarie!
Materials were left tight on this one, ended up about a 4m length short for around the step! Not my calculations!!
All sub frame was off a ladder as it was the upper level deck, quite time consuming when one is constantly up & down! Quads & calves definitely got a work out on this one!
A pet hate of mine, is screw lines all over the place!🤬 The long front side is nearly 10m long, dead straight screw line!!!👌👍

Decks are definitely my favorite job!!

Only time I got to enjoy this one was having lunch!!🥪

One crackin spot for a 🍺 or 🍻!!!

Just need the hand rails reinstalled!

Client wanted easier access where the concrete & brick steps were to reverse their cars down & still walk past!
