David, in all his glory, has been given a makeover and is on the floor today for sale. He has been restored, repainted, and sealed with a silk clear coat. He measures 1200mm tall and weights in excess of 60kg. He is now just waiting to adorn someone's garden or entryway.

We had a wonderful workshop yesterday at our Toad Hall Academy. These lovely ladies did a fantastic job of transforming their pieces with the power of paint. Each of them wanted different finishes and they learnt alot about preparing, painting and sealingvtheir pieces. Lot of laughs were had and we all had a great time. Thank you much, you were wonderful students. If you are interested into doing our furniture painting 101 class send me a DM. Mid week and weekend classes available.

This tip shop find was just $1. The pot really needed a makeover so it was to the rescue. I added the saltwash to vintage bird mineral paint in the colour French pear. When that dried l added blue, green and yellow acrylic paint and then sanded back. The last step was some brown bees wax. Such a lovely textured look now. If you want to learn to saltwash then let me know. We have a class this Saturday 28th Oct from 11am till 3pm. All materials are provided including a delicious lunch

I just love the character of this rustic railway chest. This is one we picked out of an old shed and all we did was give is a good scrub. I think it would make a wonderful rustic coffee table or a perfect timber box to store fire wood. It is 1M wide, 500mm tall and 400mm deep.
These pieces are getting harder to source and are definitely farm built but made to last. We are open today till 5pm. Pop in and see what else is new in store.😀

So l said to myself today..."Toni, put that saltwash away!"😂
It is so addictive when you start experimenting with it. I really like this coastal vibe look on this small console table as it has such character and texture.
™ is also very durable and prevents furniture from getting scratched.
