Sometimes things just need a tweak..❣️ the tapestry was in perfect condition so that was definitely a keeper. There was a lot of build up of furniture oil on this sweet chair. Some turps and steel wool paired it back to raw timber & a bit of stain finish..some wax then applied to nourish the wood 💜 I have replaced the worn out braid with a new contrasting colour. Heading to tomorrow!

Oak Chest of draws❣️just finished. The previous orange stain had to go so it was a full sand for this piece! A few repairs were also required. I have used Danish oil to seal which is a clear liquid to prevent that trump look. The handles were covered in polyurethane so they were simmered in a mix of vinegar and bicarb to remove. The piece was finished in a nice smelling wax including the handles for a soft sheen 👌This one will be heading to soon!

Rainy day Project ❣️ This gorgeous chair was worthy of a makeover with its beautiful timber an inlay on the back rest. I’ve chosen a contemporary fabric in colours to suit the rich colour of the wood. Some forest green braid finishes it off perfectly. This one will be later this week!
