Steve Morgan is a trained boilermaker and metal fabricator who worked in the Gold Coast theme parks for two decades. He now works for himself in home and property maintenance on Tamborine Mountain. He recently started his journey to follow a long-time dream creating bespoke wrought iron furniture and garden sculpture. His pieces are made with hand-operated equipment

and tools and include chairs, tables, house signs, plant stands and quirky garden statues. With his considerable engineering and construction skills and 40+ years’ experience working with metal, Steve’s pieces are superbly crafted collectible artworks that will grace any space.

This is an Art Deco style table I crafted in collaboration with my wife and co-conspirator, Nicci PJ Pottery and Design We enjoyed the process of designing the ceramic table top to compliment the base I had created. The legs and frame are made by hand wrought iron with a gentle continuous curve to form the structure.

It is currently on display and for sale at Boonah Regional Art Gallery.
