🆘Disaster has struck! A leak occurred in the torrential rain yesterday and a stack of books has been lost.
‼️Cabinet is closed for repairs.

📣 While I’m rearranging and fixing /repainting cabinets, there is NO drama/historical fiction/romance/classics cabinet. However, there will be TWO by the end of the week ❤️📚

📣 We now have FOUR cabinets for kids! These are cabinets 3 & 4.
📕 Cabinet 3: Top shelf - little kids chapter books and bottom shelf - kids nonfiction books.
📘Cabinet 4: Older kids and teen chapter books.
‼️ We are a ‘borrow and return’ street library- all our books are stickered, stamped, and soft covers are covered in contact to keep them in the best condition possible. Please return the books as soon as you are finished with them so others can enjoy them, too! Thank you! ‼️

Finished this feel-good read last night. It’ll be the first book to go in our new cabinet - yes, we are opening a second Drama/Romance/Historical Fiction/ Classics cabinet! Stay tuned for further announcements 📣

The Drama, Romance, Historical Fiction, and Classics is fully stocked and we lost no books in the foul weather we’ve had 🙌

Kate Forsyth’s lecture on the history of fairytales last night was fabulous! She was so passionate about the topic and I’ve looked at her books many times but had never bought one - until last night! As someone who is a lecturer at a uni, I find it fascinating that she did a PhD in fairytale retelling 🥰

We love donations and are very grateful for the 50+ books that were donated on the weekend, but please only donate books in good condition. Books that are missing covers or are falling apart really should go into your recycle bin ♻️

With being busy at work, study, medical issues, and a funeral on Friday, I completely forgot to do the library for Mother’s Day 🤦‍♀️.
The Mother’s Day books will be there ready for next year, I guess!
Now I need to check the calendar to see what the next special event is so I don’t miss that one, too!
