💛 A goodbye… but definitely not goodbye forever! 💛

Due to the recent venue changes with my evening GROOVE classes, I’ve had to make the difficult decision to consolidate my two evening classes into one.

This means I will no longer be running my regular Wednesday GROOVE class at our beautiful Mothar Mountain Community Hall.

This was genuinely a hard decision for me. I’m not only a GROOVE facilitator at the hall — I’m also a proud member of the committee and I absolutely love seeing our little country hall come alive.

But I also had to face the reality that not everyone from Gympie wants to drive out to Mothar Mountain in the evening, particularly in the dark. So sometimes a little change simply makes sense.

✨ The good news? GROOVE continues! My weekly evening class is moving into town to the Gympie Senior Citizens Centre, 40 Mellor Street, Gympie, every Wednesday from 6–7pm.

So if you’ve missed dancing with me at Mothar Mountain, or perhaps always thought “I really should give GROOVE a try” — come and find me on the dancefloor in town! 💃🕺

And this is certainly not the end of dancing at Mothar Mountain Hall. We’ve already been talking about the possibility of some community dance parties and special GROOVE sessions in the future. If our community wants it, we can make it happen! 🥳

🇩🇪 And speaking of parties… watch out for our Oktoberfest in October! Together with some fabulous local talent (Geoff and Nils) , we’re planning to turn our beautiful country hall into a little slice of Bavaria. And being born in Munich, I might just have a few things to teach you about Oktoberfest — expect singing, dancing and plenty of German fun! 😂🍻💃.

After the incredible atmosphere at our recent Bush Dance, I can't wait to see what happens when we give Mothar Mountain Hall an Oktoberfest makeover!

So this isn't really a goodbye.
It’s a new beginning for my weekly GROOVE class in town — while I continue to be part of our wonderful Mothar Mountain Hall community.

Thank you to everyone who has supported my classes at the hall. 💛

Keep dancing, keep connecting… and never say never. Anything is possible when enough people come together and make it happen. 💃✨

🤠 WOW, MOTHAR MOUNTAIN — WHAT A NIGHT! 🤠

What an incredible turnout for our first Mothar Mountain Hall Country Bush Dance!

A huge THANK YOU to our wonderful local community and to everyone who travelled from further afield to join us. Seeing our beautiful old hall absolutely come alive with music, dancing, laughter and people connecting was something very special.

And of course, a massive thank you to the Haymaker Bush Band for bringing the music, the energy and getting us all up on the dance floor! 🎻🪕💃

There was actually a moment some months back, during one of our committee meetings, when we weren't sure whether we could pull this event off.

But when it came to the vote, the answer was clear:

“Okay — LET’S DO IT!”

And we are SO glad we did! 🥳
Events like this don't just happen. They take planning, preparation and many helping hands behind the scenes. A massive thank you to all our committee members and volunteers who gave their time and energy to make this night possible.

Seeing our beautiful historic Mothar Mountain Hall filled with so much life makes all the work worthwhile.
