Earlier this year I had the honour of being asked to replicate an honor board for the Otway remembrance association, specifically the public hall in Beech Forest.
The local historical committee had trawled the archives and discovered 28 names that had not been previously recorded. 28 names of local men who served and sacrificed for their country, 28 names that were almost forgotten until now, where they have been displayed in the hall alongside their friends and family.
Some gorgeous locally milled Otway Blackwood was provided from a locals dusty back shed and crafted into something worthy to reflect the names of these men for hopefully another 100 years to come and unveiled at this years ANZAC dawn service.
A special project that I feel humbled to have been a part of.
Lest we forget.
