The Monto & District Ratepayers & Residents Association (MDRRA) was formed in 2007 and the catalyst for this was the looming amalgamation of councils.

People from all over Queensland protested strongly to no avail.
Since then MDRRA has advocated on behalf of locals in many areas and we believe with much success. Our monthly meetings are held at the RSL Club on the last Monday of each month excluding December.
